HCM City welcomes ancestral tablet of Hung Kings

 HCM City organized a solemn ceremony to welcome the ancestral tablet of the Hung Kings at the Park for National Cultural History on March 25.

 

The city brought soil, water, a censer and a bronze drum from the Hung King Temples in the northern province of Phu Tho, the ancestral land of Vietnam, where Hung Kings built Van Lang, the first country of Vietnam.

 

HCM City Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tai led a delegation of nearly 400 people to the ceremony to welcome and fix the holy things in the Temple of Hung Kings, inside the Park for National Cultural History.

 

The Hung Kings Death Anniversary will be held at the temple, with various activities, such as death anniversary rituals, a bronze drum reception ceremony, an exhibition of the culture of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, folk games, and a war-drum performance.

 

The Hung Kings Death Anniversary will be also organized at the Hung Kings Temple in the HCM City Zoological and Botanical Garden, Suoi Tien Tourist Park, Dam Sen Cultural Park and Tao Dan Cultural Park.
