Hoang Yen introduced as Miss Universe contestant on Globalbeauties

Though the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hasn’t yet licenced supermodel Vo Hoang Yen to be Vietnam’s representative at Miss Universe 2009, Hoang Yen is being introduced on Globalbeauties website as a contestant at Miss Universe.

Vo Hoang Yen (1.79m, 90-62-90), was born in 1988 in HCM City. She was in the top ten of the Miss Vietnam Photo 2006, won the gold prize in Vietnam Supermodel 2008 and was first runner-up in Miss Universe Vietnam 2008.

 

Hoan Vu (Universe) nominated Hoang Yen as Vietnam’s representative for the Miss Universe 2009 in the Bahamas this August after Miss Vietnam Tourism 2008 Phan Thi Ngoc Diem withdrew from the nomination list.

 

The Performance Art Agency is waiting for an official invitation letter from the organising board of Miss Universe 2009 to licence Hoang Yen.

 

Meanwhile, Ines Ligron, a national coach of the Miss Universe Japan organisation, wrote on her blog that Vo Hoang Yen was an outstanding face in this year’s pageant.

 

Many comments on this entry praised Hoang Yen’s beauty and said Hoang Yen will be a respectable contestant of Asia this year.

 

The names of 46 contestants have been announced.

 

Last year, Vietnam successfully organised the Miss Universe 2008. The country’s candidate Thuy Lam place in the top 15 beauties.
