Chinese inscriptions found on ancient pottery
For the first time, ancient Chinese inscriptions have been found on two pieces of pottery that hail back to the Champa era, sources from the Quang Nam Centre for Heritage and Historical Site Preservation said.
The artifacts were unearthed near a tower at the My Son World Heritage Site in Duy Xuyen district in the central province of Quang Nam.
Vietnamese films to joint European festival
Vietnam will offer up several entries at the 57th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland this August. Eleven features and one documentary will be shown.
The films include: Golden Key and Bar Girls directed by Le Hoang; Guava Season, Hanoi's Winter of 1946 and Nostalgia for the Countryside by Dang Nhat Minh; King of Debris by Do Minh Tuan; Sand Life by Thanh Van; Deserted Valley by Nhue Giang; Dormitory by Viet Linh; Widow Wharf by Luu Trong Ninh; Hanoi: 12 Days and Nights by Bui Dinh Hac and Return to Ngu Thuy directed by Le Manh Thich.
