Vietnam Airlines will operate 38 extra flights for the April 30 and May 1 public holidays
Vietnam Airlines will add 38 extra flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to major domestic tourism destinations to meet travel demand over the Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) public holidays. The extra flights will be available for the April 29 to May 3 long weekend on eight routes from Hanoi to tourist destinations in central Vietnam, such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue and the Central Highland city of Dalat and from HCMC to Danang, Nha Trang, Dalat and Phu Quoc Island. The national flag carrier will also user larger aircraft on the eight routes so it will be able to transport more people to the holiday destinations. Vietnam Airlines is also offering discounted one-way airfares until October 24, Vietnam News Agency reported. One way tickets for the HCMC-Nha Trang route is set at VND450,000 ($25), and VND500,000 ($28) for the Hanoi-Danang and HCMC-Hue routes. Tickets from HCMC to Phu Quoc will be priced at VND650,000 ($36.50) while the fare from HCMC to Hai Phong and Vinh and from Hanoi to southern Can Tho, Nha Trang and central Quy Nhon City will be VND900,000 ($50.60).
