Antique collection offered for sale for charity
17:00 01/04/2009 VietNamNet Bridge – A Vietnamese-American who is living in the central province of Ha Tinh has offered for sale his collection of antiques to raise funds for charity.

According to a senior official from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh province, Ho Bach Khoa, overseas Vietnamese Le Dinh Duyen, who is living in Ky Nam commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh wants to sell an antique collection that he collected over 50 years for charity.
Khoa said that Duyen is holding many rare antiques of various countries: Chinese pottery, Lao bronze drums, silver and gold coins, Buddhist statues, Cham and Lao reliefs, 20 ancient paintings and many other antiques.
The Ha Tinh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will combine with the Ha Tinh Provincial Museum and experts to determine the age and the origin of Duyen’s antiques.
Duyen is a founding member of the Hopeproject – USA Woodland California charity organisation. He is also a shareholder of the Tokyo – Hoa Sim ecological tourism site, which has built many schools and hospitals in remote and mountainous areas of Ha Tinh and helped poor people in this province.
