British “famtrip” to Vietnam
19:55 04/03/2009
A tour operator has organized a British “famtrip” with 10 tour operators and journalists to Vietnam.
The TransViet travel company said in a statement, the group will come to Vietnam’s central beaches late November to explore tourism sites for their packages. The type of package tour the group plans to offer is popular in the UK, Europe and Asian nations but new to the country. Famtrips, short for familiarization trips, are information gathering tours for travel operators. The proposed all-inclusive package holidays will be for small groups of less than 10 people on one to three week, resort holidays. All holidays are normally all inclusive with flights, transfers, accommodation, meals and drinks. Vietnam is a growing destination for foreign tourists and is attracting many new tourism products. About 3.47 million foreign visitors traveled to the country in the first ten months of 2007, an increase of 18 percent on last year’s figures. Reported by Minh Quang Source : thanhniennews.com
