British luxury liner moors at central port

      The RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 British luxury liner carrying some 1,600 passengers arrived in central Thua Thien Hue province’s Chan May port Thursday morning on its first-ever trip to Vietnam.

Departing from Hong Kong, the QE2 liner with passengers from 33 countries docked at the country’s new port, offering them a one-day tour around Thua Thien Hue, including its World Heritage sites.

The ship left for Singapore at 8pm.

Two more vessels with 1,500 tourists each are expected to arrive in Chan May next month.
