Disgruntled British vessel reinstates Nha Trang leg of trip
14:56 04/03/2009 ![]() It will arrive in Nha Trang, one of the world’s most beautiful bays, March 12 with some 2,600 international tourists, and moor some 1.5 nautical miles away from the port. It will transfer the passengers using two tenders which are able to carry 100 people each at a time. The Aurora was denied permission to enter the port because it stands 50 m high while the permissible clearance for vessels beneath the Vinpearl cable car system is only 49 m. The ship’s officials said its passengers, particularly the elderly and people with disabilities would find it difficult to transfer to smaller vessels for going ashore. The telpher system connects Nha Trang with Hon Tre island where the privately owned Vinpearl resort is situated. Reported by Dang Ngoc Khoa – Translated by An Dien Source : thanhniennews.com
