First foreign-owned train runs on Hanoi-Quang Ninh route

A South Korean-invested express train that will ply the Hanoi-Ha Long Town route was launched at the Gia Lam Railway Station in Hanoi Friday, becoming the first foreign-invested train in Vietnam.
The train, operated by Dongrim Railway Transport Co. Ltd, will depart from Hanoi everyday at 7:05 and arrive in the northern province of Quang Ninh's Ha Long Town, at 12:00. It will leave Ha Long at 15:00 and arrive at the Gia Lam station at 20:05 on the same day.
All the carriages, imported from the RoK, are equipped with luxury seats, LCDs and restrooms meeting international standards. Tickets cost US$15 for foreigners and $5 for Vietnamese. Source: VNA Source : thanhniennews.com
