The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa has called on investors to pour capital into a tourist and entertainment project in the northern Cam Ranh peninsula tourist site in Cam Lam district.

The project comprises a tourist and convalescent centre, an entertainment area, a conference centre and an international trade fair centre.  

The provincial department of planning and investment says that investors must have the financial capacity and experience in implementing big projects capitalised at around VND706 billion. They have to hand in VND35.3 billion worth of land rent in advance to invest in infrastructure.

Under the approved zoning plan, the tourist site which has a total area of 2,300 ha will become an international tourist centre.

So far, the province has licensed 20 investment projects in the site, with two getting off the ground. It aims to mobilise VND1,000 billion to invest in the site’s infrastructure in 2009-10.
