Lam Dong opens road to Laos and Thailand

![]() Bo Y International Border Gate National Highway 27 linking the two Central Highlands provinces of Lam Dong and Dak Lak will be expanded to link to Laos in late 2009, said the Director of the Lam Dong province Department of Tourism. The Director, Hua Van Tuan, said that under an agreement recently signed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport and its Lao and Thais counterparts, National Highway 27 will become a road for travellers from Da Lat City to Laos and Thailand. This road will run from Da Lat to Buon Ma Thuot city in Dak Lak province, connect to National Highway 14 running through Pleiku city in Gia Lai province, to Kon Tum town in Kon Tum province and through the Bo Y border gate into Laos and Thailand. This route will be opened in late 2009. (Source: SGGP)
