Lunar New Year tours launched for overseas Vietnamese

Festival and Nimbus Tourist companies offered a six-day tour of the capital city of Hanoi where overseas Vietnamese will visit historic relics of the former Thang Long Citadel such as Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), known as Vietnam’s first university, Tran Quoc pagoda and Ngoc Son Temple.
Other destinations include tourist spots in the northern region like Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province, Huong pagoda in Ha Tay province and Sa Pa resort in Lao Cai province. Some other leading travel agencies including Saigontourist, Fiditourist and Ben Thanh Tourist in Ho Chi Minh City have launched trans-Vietnam tours due to last between 15-18 days. Visitors will also have a chance to enjoy traditional art performances and special Tet dishes of the northern, central and southern regions.
