A new cross-border coach service was launched on April 13 between Vietnam and Laos
Global Mai Linh Travel launched new cross-border coach services from Vietnam’s central resort city of Nha Trang to Laos’ southwestern Champasak Province on April 13. The services will use 16-seat mini-buses to carry passengers to Laotian destinations via two routes. Starting from Nha Trang, passengers will travel through the south central provinces of Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, two Central Highlands provinces of Gia Lai and Kon Tum, and Laos’ southeastern Attapu Province and Champasak. The route will operate on Mondays. The second will connect six destinations, including Nha Trang, Buon Me Thuot City, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Attapu and Champasak. The service is available on Thursday. It will take two days and a night to complete each route. One-way tickets will cost up to VND850,000 (US$49). The company is currently offering introductory discounts of 20 percent. Global Mai Linh Travel is a subsidiary of the Vietnamese transport service provider Mai Linh Group. This company currently runs five daily cross-border services from Ho Chi Minh City to the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh. Source : vietnewsonline.vn
