Nha Trang to host week-long sea festival

The Sea Festival 2009 to be held in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa will feature 67 cultural, arts, sports and tourism activities held at several locations in Nha Trang City.

 

 

The provincial People's Committee announced the details of the festival, to be held from June 6-12, at a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City Saturday.

 

The province's Vice Chairman and Head of the organizing committee, Le Xuan Than, said the festival's programs will be open free of charge to all residents and visitors.

During the festival, the Khanh Hoa People's Committee will also hold a function to announce the Prime Minister's decision to upgrade Nha Trang to a first-grade city.

The PM signed a decision to this effect on Wednesday.
