Saigontourist to welcome over 5,000 cruise tourists in one week

      Ho Chi Minh City-based Saigontourist Friday began a busy week, welcoming three luxury cruise liners with a total of 5,323 tourists traveling to the country via the nation’s ports.

Saigontourist said after anchoring at the Saigon Port three days ago, the Italian deluxe vessel Costa Maria docked Monday at the World Heritage’s Ha Long Bay with 1,180 European passengers.

Its counterpart the Italian Costa Allegra is now mooring at the Cai Lan Port in northeastern Quang Ninh Province.

The Costa Marina will return to Vietnam two more times this year, while the Costa Allegra will do so another 18 times, with both scheduled to dock at central Danang Port for four days.

Also according to Saigontourist, it will welcome Tuesday the cruise ship Albatross, with 960 German tourists at Saigon Port.
