Vietnam Airlines offers free tickets for Japanese
Vietnam Airlines has launched a promotion program that allows Japanese passengers buying a return ticket to fly between Vietnam and Japan to get one more free.
Japanese who book a return ticket for Hanoi-Tokyo, Hanoi-Osaka, HCMC-Tokyo, HCMC-Osaka, HCMC-Fukuoka, or HCMC-Nagoya flights will receive a free return ticket for flights from Hanoi or HCMC to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, or from Hanoi to Luang Prabang of Laos.
The program is applicable to bookings from April 1 to May 15, and departures between April 25 and May 16 this year.
The end of April through May 5 is the "Golden Week" in Japan as there are a couple of holidays during this time.
Hoang Thi Thanh Loan from the passenger sales and marketing department of Vietnam Airlines' southern office said the dates of departure for the promotion coincided with the Golden Week in Japan.
Japanese in Vietnam commonly return home at that time, as many businesses close for seven to 10 days, prompting the airline to launch the program to attract more passengers.
