Vietnam to promote tourism on CNN
16:48 04/03/2009 ![]() Head of the VNAT’s Tourism Promotion Department, Pham Huu Minh, said that a sum of US$400,000 would be spent to feature Vietnamese tourism on the 24-hour cable television news network. A-US$50,000 clip to promote Vietnam made and sponsored by CNN will appear twice a day during prime time for 13 consecutive weeks, Minh said. With this plan, the VNAT targets to attract more foreign visitors to the country, which welcomed 1.8 million foreign tourists in the first five months of this year, up 12.4 percent year on year. VNAT expects the country will welcome 3.6-4.4 million foreign visitors in 2007, and has planned several promotional activities in foreign countries to advertise Vietnamese tourism.
