15:18 04/03/2009

Hoi An town in central Vietnam called Tuesday for investment in a multi-functional tourism complex which will include a temple to commemorate the nation’s founders – the Hung Kings.

Local authorities revealed that Vinashin Mien Trung Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and some others were studying the project, which is expected to cost VND200 billion (US$12.5 million).

To come up in Thanh Ha and Cam Pho wards, the 125-hectare complex will have 15 functional areas, including a convention center, the temple, a museum to display relics from the first millennium Sa Huynh culture, and an entertainment area.

The project is among a list of 20 national tourism complexes greenlighted by the Prime Minister in 2000.
